My Best Friend’s Wedding

September 16, 2019

Monica and I met each other back in 2010 when I was in catering sales, and she was one of our waitstaff captains. We couldn’t be anymore opposite but there were so many things we had the exact same opinion (or vision) on, that we clicked instantly! She was really there for me through some tough days working that catering job, and was there for me beyond what I could’ve ever asked for when I started Michelle Elaine Weddings in 2011.

She has worked side by side with me and is the reason I’ve been able to build this company to where you see it today. Anytime I’ve wanted to quit or give up, she’s always been there to give me a million reasons why I shouldn’t. I truly love her with all my heart so there was no surprise at the unbearable excitement I had when she was engaged! It was now my turn to give her back as much as possible (although I can’t ever truly repay her!)

She gets full credit for how gorgeous everything came out, she has amazing taste (I like to think it’s all thanks to me :)) I had so much fun going to rental and floral design meetings, helping her shop for a dress, and not only stood proudly by her side as a bridesmaid but also doubled as a wedding planner so that she could have this one day for herself, to relax and just be the bride!

Her and Joel just celebrated their one year wedding anniversary and are truly meant to be with one another. The way he cares for Monica, and puts her as a priority brings so much joy to my life because it’s all that she deserves and more! Happy Anniversary you adorable and crazy kids!
