In 2020, Michelle was at the top of her game, then the pandemic hit, and she found out that she was pregnant with her first baby - but nothing was slowing her down, she'd built something from nothing and wasn't about to let it go.
Upon the birth of her beautiful son, life proved to be much more challenging than ever expected. The pandemic caused an unfortunate budget cut in staff, there wasn't the financial option for proper childcare and Michelle watched her empire begin to slip for the first time.
Michelle Elaine Oley began her longtime career in the hospitality industry in 2008 with her very first internship with David Tutera.
Upon graduation, Michelle began a job as a Catering Sales Manager to which she was certain would be a placeholder and nothing more; her desire was to work in the fashion industry.
However, her position in catering unveiled her true love for events and weddings. In 2011, Michelle left everything behind and began her own company, Michelle Elaine Weddings.
Early 2022, Michelle was approached to be a founding member for tech startup Feeel. She took a chance, met the team and was brought on board. Her natural entrepreneurial spirit, countless years of experience and strong industry reputation was the reason.
Today Michelle lives in Brooklyn with her husband John, their son Nolan and beloved dog Chippy. She focuses on planning private dinners and intimate gatherings, all while pioneering the virtual reality technology world and creating a new and exciting space for herself in this growing industry.
It wasn't as easy of a road as she'd originally imagined. It felt like a fight year after year working to build a high quality and trusting reputation within the industry.
Things began to turn around in 2016 after being on the infamous Say Yes To The Dress with Randy Fenoli. Michelle Elaine Weddings was being written up and recognized by top wedding blogs from Style Me Pretty, BRIDES, Martha Stewart Weddings and more.
