Love Found in Pennsylvania

April 22, 2020

This wedding feels like just yesterday, and I kind of wish that it was … let’s take a little trip down memory lane to this perfect Pennsylvania wedding day!

Meaghan and Christian met when they both attended Bucknell University so it was no surprise they chose to host their ceremony at Rooke Chapel, on the college’s campus. With the need for a reception location, Meg stumbled upon One Barn Farm; an open, grassy land full of lush greenery, winding dirt roads, large moss filled pond, and a beautiful wooden barn to add even more natural character to this already charming property.

She is the third daughter to get married in this family, and I am also very proud and honored to say that I have been the planner for all three. They are definitely my favorite family, for many reasons, and I certainly wish they had a zillion more daughters so I could just work with them every single year – they’re amazing people!

The happiest group!
All of the sisters together with their beautiful mama!
The most adorable flats …
Christian (who looks like a Disney prince by the way!) is an alum for the Bucknell swim team so there was no better place for he and his guys to get ready then the swim team locker rooms, they were having so much fun!
To create this special moment for the groom they had a bagpiper escort Christian, his parents and all groomsmen over to Rooke Chapel.
Ceremony time … Rooke Chapel was so well kept it looked brand new; so gorgeous.
I love a good first look but I also can appreciate when couples choose to see one another at the ceremony for the first time, look at his reaction, priceless …
Circling back to when I said Christian looked like a Disney Prince … Meaghan is definitely the princess to this stunning wedding fairytale.
Post ceremony the happy couple took photos in front of the Christy Mathewson Gates at Bucknell that, as students, they entered through Freshman year and exited through upon graduation. Being married on campus, also where they had met, these gates were very symbolic and special to them.
Such a fun, and very large, wedding party!
Once photos were complete, the couple and their wedding party jumped into this trolley for a beautifully scenic ride to the reception location …
Cocktail hour …
From cocktails, guests were escorted down to the reception tent by a second line led by the bride and groom!
The perfect blend was right! Cutest little favors for those who enjoy coffee (which is essentially the entire world, but me!)

Late night shenanigans!

The Coughlan sisters, always each other’s Maids of Honor, write and perform a song (usually with props, and always non stop laughter) for each other’s big day – my whole team always looks forward to this portion in the evening!

The groomsmen, at one point, came out all dressed up as Christian!
You now understand why I love this family so much!
