I have had a love for fashion to as far back as I can remember. Flipping through Vogue & Harper’s Bazaar to find out the latest trends, only watching the awards pre-shows to see who and what everyone was wearing, and putting together some truly questionable outfits in order to find my own sense of style.
I’d attended FIT for fashion design and after failing miserably at both sewing and drawing I decided perhaps I was more suited for business. I attended LIM College here in Manhattan and truly learned the ins and outs of the industry. Sadly I didn’t make enough money working in fashion and had anywhere from 2-3 jobs at any given time just to survive in NYC . . . just because I left the fashion industry behind doesn’t mean it’s not still very much a part of my life and career. I use my fashion knowledge and background constantly when designing weddings and working with clients.
And when it’s time for NYBFW it feels just like Christmas.
Here are the links to all of the collections that were shown during NYBFW + my favorite piece from each collection, enjoy!

Photography | Kylee Yee Hair & Makeup | Victoria Elizabeth Official My pregnancy journey has certainly been life changing. In the very beginning I had no idea how to adjust. I had went from running 40 miles per week + 3-4 days of weight or cross training, to barely running 10 miles per week and […]

Last year I was introduced to Twah Dougherty and we instantly connected! So sitting down for lunch we decided that we just had to do a photo shoot together [we actually did a couple!] I had expressed this strong vision to showcase where I actually work everyday. Living as an entrepreneur, in Brooklyn nonetheless, it […]

John has been talking about kids [actual kids, not the furry kind :)] for years. While he has been ready for the dad-life for quite some time, I have been a little slow to the game! Starting Michelle Elaine Weddings back in 2011, this has been my baby. The overwhelming amount of effort and money […]

Photography : Mikkel Paige It was 2001, I was starting my sophomore year in high school and I’d finally convinced my mom that I was ready for contacts; my glasses were awful! I was starting to get noticed & it was certainly a different experience that year . . . I’d felt like Laney Boggs, after […]
